Todoist is a built-in connector in Muse, Meta’s personal AI agent. Once you connect your Todoist account, Muse can find, add, and update your tasks and projects. Ask Muse to save the follow-ups and next steps from your chat, and they land in Todoist, so you don’t have to copy them over by hand.

Check what Muse can access
Once you’re connected, Muse can:
- Find your Todoist tasks and projects
- Add tasks and projects
- Update tasks and projects, for example rename, reschedule, or move them to a different project
- Assign tasks in shared projects to your teammates
You sign in to Todoist directly during setup, so Muse never sees your Todoist password. You can change when Muse asks for your approval in the Muse settings. See Meta’s guide to Muse connectors for details.

Try example prompts
Once you’re connected, ask Muse in plain language.
| Category | Example prompts |
|---|---|
| Capture follow-ups | Add the follow-ups from today’s supplier call to Todoist. Add “Send invoice to Acme” to my Work project for Friday. |
| Review what’s due | What’s due this week? Which of my priority 1 tasks are due today? |
| Share with your team | Add the follow-ups from today’s team call to our Launch project and assign each one to the right person. |
| Tidy up | Can you sort my Todoist Inbox into projects? |
Review privacy and data handling
Connecting Todoist to Muse means your data moves between Todoist and Meta. On the Todoist side, your data is covered by Todoist’s privacy policy. Once it reaches Muse, it also falls under the Meta Privacy Policy. Learn more in Meta’s guide to Muse privacy.
Disconnect Todoist
If you no longer want to use Todoist in Muse, you can remove the connection from either Muse or Todoist. Either option stops Muse from accessing your Todoist account.
Remove the connector in Muse
- Open the Muse app.
- Go to Settings > Connectors.
- Disconnect Todoist.
Disconnecting stops Muse from exchanging data with Todoist. Task details Muse already used may stay in its memory and your chat history, so ask Muse to forget them if you want them removed.
Remove the connection in Todoist
- Open Settings > Integrations in Todoist.
- Find the authorization associated with Muse.
- Revoke its access.
Troubleshoot
Muse is connected but can’t see or change your tasks
Reconnect from both sides. Remove the Todoist connector in Muse, then open Todoist’s Settings > Integrations and revoke access for Muse. Connect again from Settings > Connectors in the Muse app.
