Use your Todoist Automations dashboard

The dashboard is the first thing you see when you open Todoist Automations. It greets you by name and shows the automations that need a follow-up, plus a timeline of recent activity. Use the dashboard to review your automations, check what needs attention, and take action on any issue right away.

警告

Todoist Automations is in beta. Access is limited to customers admitted from the waitlist. Features may change as improvements continue to roll out for the product.

Get started with one click

If you’ve just signed up, and haven’t installed anything yet, the dashboard displays a Get started with one click section with a handful of popular automations. If any of these automations fit your needs, hover over a card and click the Install automation button to set it up.

Recent activity

Recent activity is a timeline of your automations’ runs, grouped by day with the most recent first. Each entry shows the automation’s name, when it ran, and a status badge. It also includes a summary of what happened, a way to copy the result, and a View automation link on hover that takes you straight to that automation’s page.

A run’s status badge can be:

StatusWhat it means
CompletedThe run finished successfully.
Needs attentionThe run failed.
SkippedThe run didn't start. Most often this is because your balance is insufficient.
In progressThe run is still in progress.
Data expiredThe run happened, but its details are no longer stored.
CancelledThe run stopped before it could finish.

Additional activity

You may see additional activity in the dashboard depending on how your automations are running:

  • Loading recent activity: this is a brief loading state while Todoist Automations fetches your activity.
  • No recent runs yet: if you have automations installed, but none have run yet, you’ll see a "No recent runs yet" message, instead of a timeline. It goes away once an automation runs for the first time.
  • Some activity couldn't be loaded: if runs for some of your automations fail to load, a note appears above the timeline. The runs that did load are still shown, but the timeline may be incomplete.
