A blank screen, the infinite loading wheel, a jumble of formatted text—a few examples of connection issues that could keep you from accessing Todoist and getting your work done. Here are several possible reasons for these connection issues, along with suggestions to resolve them.
Limitations
There may be network-related limitations in place that are keeping you from accessing Todoist. Here’s how to work around them:
Corporate networks
If you’re using a corporate network, your IT department may have implemented restrictions on the websites you can access, Todoist included. Consider reaching out to them and request for access to Todoist.
Country restrictions
If you’re traveling to a country that has restrictions on certain websites, Todoist may not load for you because of the country-specific sanctions in place. You can use your preferred VPN service to access Todoist.
If you’ve ruled these limitations out, and you’re still having trouble logging in or connecting to Todoist, here are several suggestions:
Check your internet connection
Your internet connection may be unstable or experiencing temporary issues. Check your internet connection using speed test checks like Fast or Ookla. Then, try accessing other websites or apps. If you can’t access any website, use an alternative internet connection or get in touch with your internet service provider for help.
Clear browser cache and cookies
Web browsers store some web app content locally to optimize performance. This is commonly referred to as caching. However, incorrectly cached items may cause misformatted pages or prevent you from accessing Todoist. Clear your browser's cache and cookies, then try reloading the app.
Disable browser extensions or plugins
Your favorite browser extension or plugin might be in conflict with the Todoist web app. To check this, disable browser extensions or plugins one by one, reloading the Todoist web app each time to see if the issue is resolved. If you identified the problematic extension or plugin, consider removing or updating it.
Turn off firewall or antivirus software temporarily
Firewall or antivirus software may be blocking your access to the Todoist web app. Temporarily disable them and try accessing the app again. If the issue’s resolved, allowlist todoist.com or add it as an exception in your firewall or antivirus software settings.
