Use team filters with your team


As your team’s workspace fills up with tasks, finding the right information needs to stay fast and effortless. That’s where team filters come in. 

Team filters are shared, customizable views of tasks that use query syntax to surface exactly what your team needs. You can collectively narrow down task lists by name, date, project, label, priority, date created, and more – ensuring everyone stays aligned and focused on what matters.

Add a team filter

If you see different tasks in your filter from a team member, this may be because you and your team member are part of different projects. 
  1. Select Filters & Labels in the sidebar.
  2. Click the + icon next to the team you want to add the filter in.
  3. Create your filter:
    • Enter the filter name in the Name your filter field.
    • (Optional) Use the Location drop-down menu to change the location of your filter.
    • Enter the filter query in the Query field. Check out these filter query examples.
    • (Optional) Open the Color menu to choose a different filter color.
    • (Optional) Click the Favorite toggle to add the filter to your favorites.
  4. Click Add to save your filter.
  1. Tap Done at the top-right to save your new filter.
  2. Tap Browse in the navigation bar.
  3. Tap Filters & Labels.
  4. Tap the Add icon next to the team workspace you want to add a team filter for.
  5. Create your filter:
  6. Tap the checkmark icon at the top-right to save your team filter.

If you want to make sure you only view tasks from your team workspace, you can add workspace: team name to your query. For example, if you want to view all tasks that are due today in your Doist workspace, you can create a team filter with the query today & workspace: Doist.

Edit a team filter

  1. Select Filters & Labels in the sidebar.
  2. Find the filter you want to edit and hoover your mouse over it.
  3. Click the pencil icon to the right of the filter name. Then, make changes to your filter.
  4. Once you're done making your changes, click Save.
  1. Tap Browse in the navigation bar.
  2. Tap Filters & Labels.
  3. Tap the filter you wish to edit.
  4. Tap the three dots icon at the top-right.
  5. Select Edit and make your changes.
  6. Tap the checkmark icon to confirm.

Delete a team filter

  1. Click Filters & Labels in the sidebar.
  2. Right-click the filter or click the three dots icon beside the filter name.
  3. Select Delete to remove the filter.
  1. Tap Browse in the navigation bar.
  2. Tap Filters & Labels.
  3. Tap the filter you wish to delete.
  4. Tap the three dots icon.
  5. Select Delete.
