A Todoist promo code lets you pay for Pro with some savings on the side. Most codes arrive as a link: open it, and Todoist applies the discount automatically at checkout. Once redeemed, Pro features are ready to use on every device where you’re signed in to the same Todoist account.
Discounts and ways to save
Todoist doesn’t offer separate discounts or promotions for students, families, or non-profit organizations. There are still a few ways to lower the cost of Pro:
- Pay yearly instead of monthly. A yearly Pro subscription costs around 30% less than paying month to month.
- The Beginner plan includes a team workspace with its own usage limits, so you can collaborate without upgrading to Pro.
- Content creators, publishers, bloggers, coaches, and productivity experts may be able to join the Partner Program and become Todoist Ambassadors.
If you received a promo code instead, here’s how to apply it to your Todoist subscription.
Promo codes on the Todoist website
Promo codes are usually sent as a unique link. Click this link, and the discount is applied at checkout automatically.
If you’re having trouble redeeming your code, contact the support team and share the code with them.
When it’s used successfully, the subscription pauses the charge depending on its duration. For example, if you received a promo code for 3 months of Todoist, your subscription will pause for 90 days before charging for the renewal.

When redeeming a Google Play promo code, the credit goes towards your Pro subscription, so you get to use all the paid features at a reduced cost.
You can only redeem Google Play promo codes in Todoist for Android. When you’re ready, here’s how to apply the promo code:
- Tap Browse at the bottom right.
- Tap the gear icon at the top right.
- Tap Upgrade to Pro.
- Select Yearly plan or Monthly plan.
- Tap Continue.
- Select your current payment method on the checkout page.
- Scroll down on the checkout page.
- Tap Redeem code.
- Enter the promo code.
- Tap Redeem.
After your free trial ends, the promo credit pays for your Pro plan. To stop Pro from renewing after that, cancel the auto-renewal in your Google Play account before the promo code’s expiry date.
App Store subscriptions and promo codes
Promo codes work through the Todoist website checkout, so they can’t be applied directly to a subscription bought through the App Store.
If you subscribed through the App Store and want to use a promo code, cancel your App Store subscription and wait for it to end. Once it does, you can redeem the code and start a new subscription through the Todoist website.
