Downgrade from Todoist Business to Pro or Beginner

To downgrade from Todoist Business to either Pro or Beginner, cancel the Business subscription first. Only admins can cancel a Todoist Business account.

Note

When you downgrade to the Pro or Beginner plan, you will lose any legacy pricing you had on your Business plan (this includes if you are a long-term user with old pricing or if you have a non-profit discount).

Cancel the Todoist Business plan

  1. Log in to the Todoist account on https://todoist.com.
  2. Click your avatar in the top-left.
  3. Find the team you want to cancel Business for in the left-hand menu.
  4. Click Subscription.
  5. Click Cancel plan.
  6. Enter what you liked most about the Business plan.
  7. Click Cancel Business plan.
  8. Select a reason for cancelling and provide any feedback you have for cancelling your plan.
  9. Click Cancel Business plan.
  10. Click Cancel plan.
  11. Confirm by clicking Cancel plan.

Warning

If you're using your Google, Facebook or Apple account to sign in, you'll need to add a password to your Todoist account first by going to your Settings and selecting Account.

After canceling your Business plan

Even after you cancel your Business plan, you'll have access to Business features until your subscription expires. You can find your subscription's expiration date when you access your team billing settings. After that, you'll automatically move to the Beginner plan. To switch to Pro, you'll need to manually upgrade once your subscription ends.

If you'd like a refund, contact us within 30 days of your payment. Refunds can only be issued if the payment was made within the last 30 days.
