The Pro Legacy plan lets eligible long-term subscribers keep paying for Todoist Pro at the price they had before June 2022. It dates back to Todoist's June 6, 2022 pricing change and continues after the December 10, 2025 pricing update. Below, you'll find who's eligible, how the plans compare, and how to manage your subscription.
Understand the Pro Legacy plan
The Todoist Pro Legacy plan allows eligible long-term subscribers to continue using Todoist Pro at the specific price they were paying before June 2022. Users subscribed via the App Store also remain on their current price by default.
The existing features will continue to be supported and available. However, new paid features released after December 10, 2025 won't be incorporated into the Pro Legacy plan. This includes Todoist Assist and Email Assist.
Check your eligibility
You're on the Pro Legacy plan if:
- You subscribed to the Pro plan before June 2022, have maintained your subscription continuously under the conditions outlined previously (for example, haven't changed plan type or certain billing cycles), and received an email confirming your continuation on the "Pro Legacy plan".
- You subscribed to the Pro plan via the App Store before December 10, 2025, regardless of your original subscription date or price. Due to App Store policies, these subscriptions do not automatically increase in price and remain on the legacy feature set unless manually upgraded.

If you remain on the Pro Legacy plan, you'll keep access to all Todoist Pro features that were available as of December 10, 2025. These existing features will continue to be fully supported and maintained.

How do I upgrade from Pro Legacy to the new Pro plan?
If you subscribe through the Todoist website or the Google Play Store, follow the steps below to switch to the new Pro plan. If you subscribe through the App Store, you'll manage the change in your App Store account.
- Billed by Todoist: Go to your Subscription tab in settings and select the option to upgrade.
- Billed by the App Store: Manage your subscription and upgrade through your App Store account settings.
If you're billed by Google Play:
- Open the Todoist app on your Android device.
- Tap Browse.
- Tap the gear icon in the top-left corner.
- Tap Pro Legacy and follow the upgrade process.

Can I start a free trial to try the new Pro plan?
No. Free trials aren't available while you have an active Pro Legacy subscription, since you're already on a paid Pro plan. To use the latest Pro features, upgrade to the Pro plan. If you'd like to switch immediately, before your current billing cycle ends, get in touch with us.
Will the Pro Legacy plan receive any new updates or features?
Pro Legacy will continue to receive essential updates that keep Todoist stable, secure, and compatible with new platforms.
It will also continue to benefit from improvements that affect the core Todoist experience and apply across all plans. These include any features we release to the Beginner plan and updates that keep the app consistent and reliable for everyone, such as enhancements to interface, usability, accessibility, or overall performance.
Do I keep my Pro Legacy plan pricing?
Yes. You'll keep your Pro Legacy pricing as long as your subscription remains active and unchanged.
Similar to our previous legacy conditions, your special pricing will only be removed if you:
- Change your subscription type (e.g. upgrade to the Business plan) or change your billing cycle (e.g. from annual to monthly and vice versa).
- Cancel your subscription.
- Receive a refund for your subscription.
- Change your billing provider (e.g. move from direct billing to the App Store).
How can I check if I am on a Pro Legacy plan?
You can find your current plan details in your account settings. Here's how:
- Click your avatar in the top-left.
- Select Settings.
- Click the Subscription tab.
Will the Pro Legacy plan receive bug fixes and security updates?
Yes, absolutely. We're committed to ensuring Todoist remains reliable and secure for everyone. While the Pro Legacy plan won't receive new paid features released after December 10, 2025, the existing features included in your plan will continue to be fully supported and maintained, receiving necessary bug fixes and security updates.
Will the Pro Legacy plan ever be discontinued entirely?
We are committed to fully supporting and maintaining the existing features included in the Pro Legacy plan (those available up to December 10, 2025) for users who remain on it. We have no plans to discontinue the Pro Legacy plan. Our focus is on ensuring the features you rely on continue to work reliably.
