On June 6, 2022, Todoist updated its pricing structure. Users subscribed before then kept their original price under certain conditions. Following the December 10, 2025 pricing update, this arrangement continues as the Pro Legacy plan. Learn about plan eligibility, feature differences, and how to manage your legacy subscription below.
Understand the Pro Legacy plan
The Todoist Pro Legacy plan allows eligible long-term subscribers to continue using Todoist Pro at the specific price they were paying before June 2022. Users subscribed via the App Store also remain on their current price by default.
The existing features will continue to be supported and available, however, new paid features released after December 10, 2025 will not be incorporated into the Pro Legacy plan. This includes upcoming features like Ramble and Todoist Assist (including Email Assist).
Check your eligibility
You're on the Pro Legacy plan if:
- You subscribed to the Pro plan before June 2022, have maintained your subscription continuously under the conditions outlined previously (for example, haven't changed plan type or certain billing cycles), and received an email confirming your continuation on the "Pro Legacy plan".
- You subscribed to the Pro plan via the App Store, regardless of your original subscription date or price. Due to App Store policies, these subscriptions do not automatically increase in price and remain on the legacy feature set unless manually upgraded.

If you remain on the Pro Legacy plan, you'll keep access to all Todoist Pro features that were available as of December 10, 2025. These existing features will continue to be fully supported and maintained.
Some newer features, such as Ramble, will continue to be available on the Legacy Pro plan, but with the same usage limits that apply to the Beginner plan.
Choose your plan options

If you purchased your current subscription via Apple's App Store, you'll need to request a partial refund for your current billing cycle directly through Apple.
Upgrade to the Pro plan
You can upgrade to the Pro plan after December 10, 2025.
- If you're billed by Todoist or Google Play: Go to your Subscription tab in settings and select the option to upgrade.
- If you subscribed via the App Store: You can manage your subscription and choose to upgrade through your App Store account settings.

It will also continue to benefit from improvements that affect the core Todoist experience and apply across all plans. These include any features we release to the free plan and updates that keep the app consistent and reliable for everyone, such as enhancements to interface, usability, accessibility, or overall performance.
Yes. You'll keep your Pro Legacy pricing as long as your subscription remains active and unchanged.
Similar to our previous legacy conditions, your special pricing will only be removed if you:
- Change your subscription type (e.g. upgrade to the Business plan) or change your billing cycle (e.g. from annual to monthly and vice versa).
- Cancel your subscription.
- Receive a refund for your subscription.
- Change your billing provider (e.g. move from direct billing to the App Store).
You can find your current plan details in your account settings. Here's how:
- Click your avatar in the top-left.
- Select Settings.
- Click the Subscription tab.
Here you will be able to check your plan name:
- If you are viewing this page before December 10th, you subscribed to the Pro plan before June 2022 and have maintained your subscription continuously and received an email confirming your continuation on the Pro Legacy Plan.
- On or after December 10th, this screen will explicitly state if you are on a legacy plan.
Yes, absolutely. We're committed to ensuring Todoist remains reliable and secure for everyone. While the Pro Legacy plan won't receive new paid features released after December 10, 2025, the existing features included in your plan will continue to be fully supported and maintained, receiving necessary bug fixes and security updates.
We are committed to fully supporting and maintaining the existing features included in the Pro Legacy plan (those available up to December 10, 2025) for users who remain on it. We have no plans to discontinue the Pro Legacy plan. Our focus is on ensuring the features you rely on continue to work reliably.
