Quick tip
If you've hit the 300-task limit for a project, we recommend splitting it into smaller projects. For example, if you have a “Books to Read” project, split it into smaller projects based on genre.

FAQ
We've landed on 500 to make sure that Todoist can sync quickly and successfully. More than 500 increases the time it takes to sync your data and creates the risk of a sync issue. That said, we're working to make our sync engine faster and aim to increase this limit.
I've created a free team, but I have also been invited to another team. Do I need to upgrade my free team to a paid plan to accept the other team invite?
Although you can only create one free team at a time, you can join as many teams as you want.
Can I increase the limits of certain projects in my account?
For now, it's not possible to increase any limits beyond those listed above.
