Legacy Todoist for Business


We understand that hearing about an update to your subscription, especially regarding pricing, is never easy. We want to be completely open about why we're retiring the legacy Todoist for Business plan and moving all remaining legacy subscriptions onto our current Business plan.

The price is changing because the product has evolved. The current Business plan is built on the Team Workspace, a completely new and more powerful Todoist that delivers significantly more value for team collaboration than the old plan.

Then vs. Now: the value of the new Business plan

The legacy pricing structure no longer supports the extensive value delivered by today's Business plan and Team Workspace, which replaced the former "Todoist for Business" product in January 2024. 

Since the launch of Team Workspaces, legacy "Todoist for Business" subscribers have been able to use all new features and product updates while still on the original legacy pricing..The current price reflects this added functionality and our commitment to building products that serve your team for decades to come.

The current plan gives you powerful tools like Team Workspaces, visual Calendar Layouts, and Team Insights for better organization, effective planning, and clear progress tracking.

Subscription status and new plan transition

The legacy Todoist for Business plan has been formally retired and is no longer available. All customers previously on this plan are automatically transitioned to the current Business plan, which is built around the Team Workspace. This aligns all subscriptions with the latest feature set and current pricing structure.

FAQ

Changes to your team size are handled as follows:

  • Members added before December 10, 2025: You will be charged for these new members at your legacy rate.
  • Members added on or after December 10, 2025: These members will be charged at the new rate. This charge will be prorated based on the date new members were added.

For teams on an annual subscription, prorated charges for new members added mid-year are invoiced pro rata in the following month. Your yearly renewal invoice will reflect the new annual rate for all members active on that date.

The Business plan is purposely built for robust team collaboration. If you are the sole member of your team workspace, you may find that the individual Pro plan is a better fit for your needs. 

Follow these steps to cancel your Business plan and upgrade your account to the Pro plan.
