Current issues
Some Windows users may encounter an installation or update failure when installing Todoist v9.28.0
- ⚠️ Platforms affected: Windows
- 🛠️ Status: The download issue has been addressed and new downloads should now work correctly. We are currently monitoring for additional reports before closing the investigation.
💡 Workaround: If you're unable to install or update Todoist, download the latest Windows installer directly from: https://electron-dl.todoist.net/windows/Todoist-win32-9.28.0-latest.exe
If Todoist appears in "Add or Remove Programs", uninstall it first and then reinstall using the installer above.
App freezes when adding or changing task dates (Japanese and Chinese only)
- ⚠️ Platforms affected: iOS
- 🛠️ Status: We've identified the cause of the issue, and a fix is currently being prepared for an upcoming release
- 💡 Workaround: Temporarily use the Todoist web app to add or edit task dates
Unable to connect Todoist to ChatGPT MCP custom connectors
- ⚠️ Platforms affected: ChatGPT Integration
- 🛠️ Status: Fixed 🎉 OpenAI has resolved the OAuth issue that was preventing Todoist from connecting to ChatGPT.
💡 Reconnect: If you’re still unable to connect, please remove the existing Todoist app connection in ChatGPT, add Todoist, and complete the connection steps.
Our team will continue working on an additional safeguard on Todoist’s side to help prevent similar issues in the future.
